Football for everyone

Tackle or flag football, women’s or men’s teams, adults or school kids: American football thrills people of all ages. Touchdowns, quarterback sacks, spectacular runs and tactical plays make it one of the most dynamic team sports there is.

Cheerleading, too, has long been much more than supporting a team from the sidelines: it is a versatile competitive sport for women and men.

The Final

At the GFL Bowl, Germany’s two best men’s tackle football teams go head to head for the German Championship. The supporting programme showcases the full diversity of the sport.

More than 73,000 people are active in the clubs of the American Football Verband Deutschland e. V. (AFVD).

A celebration of football

The GFL Bowl is the AFVD’s biggest shared celebration. It is all about the people who carry the sport with passion all season long: players, coaches, cheerleaders, volunteers and fans.

Cheerleaders bring energy and atmosphere with their performances. A day at the stadium is great for families too, with entertainment for all ages.

Musical guests and DJs accompany the Bowl before, during and after the game, while expert stadium hosts keep up the rhythm of the game.
